Verato Ranked #1 EMPI in 2019 and Top 10% Vendor All-Around in Black Book Survey

We are thrilled by the #1 EMPI ranking this year by vendor-agnostic research group, Black Book Market Research. We were a bit surprised when the results were announced — this is only our second year marketing the EMPI product, Verato Universal™ MPI. Black Book is vendor-agnostic, so we had no knowledge of our standing in the research.

Last year, The Pew Charitable Trusts validated our referential matching approach, which underpins both the Universal MPI and our plug-in product, Verato Auto-Steward. We have seen continued product growth, continued customer satisfaction, and are humbled by the credibility the Black Book report brings along with even further market validation.

Who is Black Book Market Research?

Every year, Black Book Market Research conducts a survey on leading healthcare vendors sourced through customer perspectives. This year, they investigated 305 finance functional vendors utilized by 2,480 validated client users. Black Book Market Research is an independent, unbiased, crowd-sourced research firm with a goal of "helping [users] achieve the results [they] want with the best possible solution." This year’s survey includes 729 patient matching/EMPI system users’ responses, and these ratings place Verato as the #1 EMPI solution for 2019.

What does the survey consist of?

The survey spans 18 categories consisting of different operational key performance indicators. Here are some highlights of our performance: Verato placed #1 in nine categories and in the top 10% for all categories across the board. These categories include customer-centric metrics, like service of customer relationships, alignment of customer goals, and meeting customer needs. Some categories delve into trust, rating levels of accountability, security, and ethics. The other categories are technology-focused, comparing breadth of offerings, scalability, innovation, and functionality. Verato also received the highest ranking for three out of four functional subsets: hospitals 101-300 beds, health systems and corporations, and physician practices and groups.
